Babblemouth

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 June 2026

Babblemouth ("the app", "we", "us") is a local-first app that lets parents and guardians record the things their children say and turn them into memory books. We care about your family's privacy and have designed the app to keep your data with you. This policy explains what information the app handles and why.

Our approach: local-first

Everything you create — babbles, photos, child names and memory books — is stored locally on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.

Information the app handles

Content you create

Quotes, notes, context, photos, child names, dates and the memory books you design. This content stays on your device.

Backups & exports

If you create a backup or export a memory book (for example a backup file, PDF or image), that file is saved wherever you choose and shared only by you. We are not involved in its storage or distribution.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and managed through RevenueCat. We receive your purchase and entitlement status so we can unlock features. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Analytics & tracking

The app does not include third-party analytics or advertising, and does not track you across other apps or websites. It does not show ads, and we do not sell your data.

Children's content is created and controlled by you, the parent or guardian. Babblemouth is intended for use by adults. It is not directed to children for their own independent use, and we do not knowingly collect data directly from children.

How we use information

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the service providers that make the app work, and only as needed:

Data retention & deletion

Your content remains on your device until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. Because your data lives on your device, removing it there removes it entirely.

Security

We use reputable providers and standard safeguards to protect data handled on our behalf. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. If you are in the EU/EEA, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Norway, the Datatilsynet).

International transfers

Our service providers may process data on servers located outside your country. Where this happens, we rely on those providers' safeguards for international data transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the date at the top when we do.
